Vancouver Summer Programs (VSP) are  an opportunity for students to enhance their learning experiences with an international study abroad experience at a world-renowned institution, consistently ranked among the top 40 research universities in the world.

VSP is a four-week academic program offered at the University of British Columbia for cohorts of students from cooperating universities to study  at  Vancouver campus. This program provides students the opportunity to take two academic courses in various UBC faculties, while enjoying first-hand experiences in Canadian practices and culture, as well as meeting other international students from around the globe.

The 2016 Vancouver Summer Program runs fromJune 4 – July 5 2016, andJuly 16 – August 16 2016.

Registrations for the June-July program are due on Monday, February 29, 2016 and the July-August program are due Thursday, March 31, 2016.  Participants in the Vancouver Summer Program are typically students who have completed at least one year of university prior to joining the program. As the program will be taught in English, participants should be at an appropriate English language level to ensure success.

Yonsei International Summer School (YISS) opened its doors in 1985 and since then, YISS has become an integral part of campus life based on a unique blend of Korean and global cultures. YISS continues to grow and evolve, accommodating the needs of a rapidly changing student body and meeting the challenges of a fast-paced global society.

YISS provides a dynamic education in a broad range of fields both for students who are familiar with Korea and those who have never traveled to this part of the world.  What makes program YISS truly international is the diversity of our student body, made up of young scholars from all walks of life and from many corners of the world. Thousands of students have left 30 year-old program with enhanced knowledge, new perspectives, and unique experiences.

YISS offers a broad range of courses in seven general areas and multiple disciplines. For courses taken at YISS, credits are fully transferable to students’ home institutions. Excluding Korean language courses, all courses are conducted in English and taught at the undergraduate level. YISS also has internship program, allowing YISS students to work at various corporations and research labs in Seoul gaining hands on experience while at the same time earning course credits.

urthermore, YISS provides a special fee benefit for students who register on 2016 YISS program during early registration period. By submitting the online application, official transcript and the application fee payment by February 29th, students are eligible to receive a benefit of KRW300, 000(approx. USD 250) from YISS office and this amount of fee will be deducted on their program tuition fee. It will be the greatest opportunity for the students to have dynamical experience in summer by exploring life in the center of Korea and learn from excellence academics in the heart of Seoul at Yonsei University.

Graz International Summer School Seggau 2016, Austria

The Graz International Summer School Seggau is an interdisciplinary program for highly motivated, internationally oriented students from all disciplines, who wish to deepen their knowledge in international topics and interdisciplinary research, enhance their experience by working together with students from different countries all over the world and thereby not only gain insight into different approaches but get the opportunity to form a long lasting network for international cooperation and future collaboration.

Bergen Summer Research School 2016: Water, Climate

June 13-24, 2016 at the University of Bergen.

Every summer, the Bergen Summer Research School (BSRS) gathers one hundred doctoral students and young researchers of all disciplines from all around the world to tackle some of the greatest challenges of our time — this year: Water.

The result is a unique transdisciplinary environment where participants present, engage, discuss, progress their thinking and improve on their work. Many of the events are open to the public.

This summer, BSRS offer seven parallel courses spanning disciplines from the natural, health and social sciences to the humanities. As part of the taught courses, BSRS will make an excursion into the waterscape of western Norway to explore the impact of rivers, fjords and glaciers on societies. 

Bergen Summer Research School was established in 2008 as a joint initiative between the University of Bergen, Chr. Michelsen Institute, Bergen University College, the Norwegian School of Business and Administration, and Uni Research.
