Pursuant to the Decree No 274 of the President of the Russian Federation dated 18 April 2020 "On Temporary Measures to Resolve the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons in the Russian Federation in the Context of the Threat of the Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Further Spread":
From 15 March to 15 June 2020, the following validity periods shall be suspended: the period of temporary stay and the period of temporary or permanent residence of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Russian Federation; the periods of registration at the place of stay or at the place of residence for foreign citizens and stateless persons; validity of visas, temporary residence permits, residence permits, marked migration cards, work permits, and patents – if such validity periods expire within the said period.
Registration at the place of stay, if it expires from 15 March to 15 June 2020, shall be valid for a period of 93 days from the date of its expiration indicated in the notification of a foreign citizen's arrival at the place of stay (the detachable section of the notification form), including the access to public services.
A visa, if it expires from 15 March to 15 June 2020, shall be valid for a period of 93 days from the date of its expiration indicated in this visa, including the cases of leaving the Russian Federation.
After 15 June 2020, the said visa shall be subject to due extension, if there are grounds therefor (work, study, illness, etc.).
