Seoul National University (SNU), one of the top 50 universities in the world (QS World University Rankings 2016/17), proudly presents SNU International Summer Institute (ISI) and would like to kindly ask your attention to ISI.
SNU ISI presents a unique opportunity for students to experience academic life at Seoul National University, Korea’s most prestigious university and one of the leading universities in the world. SNU ISI’s intensive six-week summer program taught by distinguished SNU and visiting faculty members offers its participants the chance to learn in depth knowledge from experts on Korea and East Asia, as well as a range of topics ranging from Economics and Business Management, Engineering and Life Science to, Music and Fine Arts. SNU ISI also provides courses on Korean language and traditional arts, for students wishing acquire or advance their Korean language skills while immersing in Korea’s contemporary and traditional culture.
ISl is truly international: In 2016 we saw students in attendance from 107 universities around the world. Academic quality is paramount and all courses are fully taught, assessed and marked in English. Classes are interactive, made up of lectures, seminars, group work and discussions.

There are also additional financial support offered to partner and non-partner universities depending on the year so please feel free to contact us directly if you do require any additional information or guidance.
What we require from our university partners
We would very much appreciate if you could advertise ISI on your website and distribute the information to your students. If you would like to receive hard-copies of SNU ISI promotional materials, please let us know and we will be happy to send them to you.
What are the eligibility requirements?
Students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
Students who are graduating high school and have been accepted to enter university in fall
Students who have graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program and who wish to further their learning and experience Korea
Applications and Admissions
Please visit the SNU ISI website (http://isi.snu.ac.kr) for the application instructions and process. SNU ISI accepts application via online only, and the application can be accessed via the SNU ISI website.
